Here at Barks and Rec, we understand that sometimes, life gets in the way and appointments can not be kept. We only ask that you give us a 48 hour notice, so that we can open up your time slot to another client on the waiting list.
If you cancel within 48-hours of your scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay for the appointment in-full or forfeit a pre-paid session.
Please know that canceling last-minute causes much wasted time. Since Sarah Connor travels to each of her clients, she sets aside a minimum of two hours to service each and every client: half-an-hour to travel to the client; one full hour for the training session; half-an-hour to travel from the client to her next location. This time frame can fluctuate to up to four hours per client, depending on how far Sarah needs to travel to-and-from a session. As you can imagine, a sudden cancellation can create a large gap in her schedule; one that is unable to be filled in on such short notice. Therefore, if a cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled training session, first time offenders will be charged a $25 late-notice fee. After the first offense, any sessions that you cancel in the future (within the 48 hour period) will require full payment or you will be forfeiting a prepaid session.
If a client repeatedly cancels their scheduled sessions, regardless of whether or not it falls within the 48-hour window, Sarah Connor will discuss with the client the option of switching to a different time slot. If an agreement can not be reached, or the client continues to cancel sessions even after switching to another time slot, Sarah Connor reserves the right to revoke the client’s appointment privileges.
• Payment for any and all services must be made before or at the time of service.
• Late fees will apply to payments made more than 24 hours after time of service.
• Payments may be made via cash, check, Venmo or PayPal. Any payments made via PayPal will incur a 5% fee.
• Address all checks to “Barks and Rec.”
• Failure to adhere to payment policies, or consistently neglecting to make payments, may result in termination of service agreement.
I absolutely love it when the whole family is involved in training sessions! I especially love it when kids want to be involved in the process! Children are more than welcome to join the sessions, as long as the following directions are adhered to:
All minors who will be participating in the Consultation and any future dog training sessions MUST be accompanied by an adult (18+) relative at all times.
YOU are responsible for your child's behavior towards your dog. If your child is continuously bullying the dog or creating a stressful or disruptive learning environment for the dog, you will be asked to remove the child for the remainder of class.
Kids are welcome to ask questions! I'm happy to answer any dog-related inquiries from your child. However, if your child starts to veer off-track into non-dog-related stories (as children often and understandably do!) I kindly request that you redirect your child back to the task at hand.
Your child is welcome to attend all training sessions as long as they are respectful of the dog, respectful of myself and any other dog handlers I may bring along, and minimally disruptive.
Sarah Connor is not liable for the safety of any children participating in the training sessions.
